In The Beginning…

In 1977 a group of 15 people reopened the old Springville Christian Church and changed their name to Springville Community Church. In 1978 Brother Ken Ransom was called to the pastorate. He was a man with a vision and a desire to build a church that would be a “light on a hill” to a community in need of a Savior. By 1985, after numerous building additions and much remodeling, there was just no more room. The congregation kept growing and soon the sanctuary would be too small to accomodate everyone.

A group of church leaders began pursuing sites for the construction of a new church building. After a long and tiring search, a 30-acre piece of property at the corner of Highway 37 and Trogden Lane, just outside of Needmore, was purchased and paid in full.

Since the new church building was no longer located in Springville, the congregation chose a new name, and thus began Crossroads Community Church. In October 1995, the new building which included an 800+ seat sanctuary, a multi-purpose gymnasium, and classrooms was dedicated to the Lord.

Because our congregation grew, so did the need to build on. In Phase 2 of construction two levels of classrooms were added to the North side of the gymnasium. In Phase 3 a Sports Center was added. The Center has a fully equipped exercise room, an in-door walking track and dual basketball courts that are open to all of our members. The Sports Center hosts holiday dinners, dramas, sports events, and other activities throughout the year.

God accomplished all of this with a bunch of common, ordinary people who put their faith and trust wholly in Him because they want to see His kingdom grow. Glory to God in the highest!
